I was lucky enough to attend this FREE EVENT in one of the three scheduled 2015 cities!  Kansas City (7/18/15 at Penn Valley Park) and Minneapolis (8/22/15 at Loring Park) get ready, you’re next!

Chef demos, large music stage, kids food education fun zone, food tasting tent ($3 to $5 samples), wine & beer tasting priced samples, free Applegate Hotdog samples, but most importantly…

LEARN YOUR WAY TO A FREE CHIPOTLE BURRITO THROUGH FOOD EDUCATION!

Visit at least four of the five exhibits, get your brochure stamped after each one, and you will receive your free burrito, bowl, tacos, salad, or IZZE at any Chipotle.

The exhibits were amazing.  Lines of people waited to:

1. watch films discussing ways to better food and food environment

2.  walk through a Factory vs. Farm Tour

3.  learn Fresh vs. Processed

4.  GMO education

5. and walk through a live demo on how to make guacamole!

We visited the True Food Booth and tried a new fruit we’ve never heard of before… i still can’t remember its long name- but my girls both loved it.

We jumped into cotton…

We were given a pot, some soil that looked like a hockey puck but grew fresh when watered, and choice of seed packets along with personalized instruction on how to plant your seeds. My nature loving daughter chose tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, melon, and more.

The minute we got home, she planted them…

… and put them on the windowsill in her bedroom.

We had a blast, and i when i introduced myself at the Slow Food Phoenix tent, I even met Julie with Slow Food who happens to be the same girl promoting my Food Revolution Day 2015 Event at Sur la Table on May 15th at 10am!

(Cue Disney song,  “It’s a Small World After All, It’s a small world after all, it’s a small, small, world.”)

I shared my email for any future partnering opportunities.  So if you live near Kansas City or Minneapolis, I urge you to
